The Committee on the Environment promotes environmentally responsible “Green” design, building, and community planning practices through research, solution generation, and outreach to the profession, industry and the public. The Task Force will be conscious of what is being done at the National level and bring this expertise to the local chapter. COTE will lead and coordinate the profession’s involvement in environmental and energy-related issues and will promote the role of the architect in preserving and protecting our planet from environmental damage.
