Francis Quad Column Conservation
In 1892, a fire consumed Academic Hall, leaving only six columns standing. Over 125 years later our team was directed to conserve the columns without affecting its visual historic character. Utilizing non-conventional techniques such as laser scanning and surgical bone screws, the structural stability of the columns was restored.
