This program is being offered as a hybrid program.  You may attend either in person or on Zoom.

Join Casey Cohorst with Allegion on this progam that discusses electrified hardware and the codes and requirements pertaining to that hardware.  Topics will include:

Find requirements in the applicable codes and standards – either the International Building Code or NFPA 101 – The Life Safety Code.

Express the intent of code requirements and where to apply them.

Describe the basic requirements that apply to electrified hardware – including fail safe vs. fail secure terminology, and requirements for access control, delayed egress, and stairwell reentry.

List new requirements such as electromagnetic locks, elevator lobby egress, and hospital unit lockdown.

This program is worth 1 HSW.  Lunch will be provided for this who attend in person.  For those who attend on Zoom, you must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
