Nooniversity: Helping Buildings Stand Tall and Stand Out - Cold Formed Steel (CFS) Framing Design

This program is being offered as a hybrid program.  You may attend either in person or on Zoom.

Join McClure for this '101' course related to cold-formed steel framing (CFS) design.  The material of construction will be explained, including how the studs, joists, and other members are formed. The design applications will be discussed, including which types of occupancy and use groups lend themselves toward this type of construction method. Basic design concepts will be discussed as pertains to the architect. For example, typical spans for floor framing/roof framing and capabilities at different building/story heights will be reviewed. The pros and cons of the system will be discussed. Methods of building erection, construction phasing, and job site aspects will also be covered. 

This program is worth 1 LU.  Lunch will be provided for this who attend in person.  For those who attend on Zoom, you must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
